The Columbia Basin Environmental Education Network (CBEEN), Provides recourse and networking for educators in the Columbia Basin. Their vision is to have those in the Columbia Basin respect the natural environment and engage in sustainable activities.
Environmental education is a long-term investment in the community. Threw environmental education citizens are given a chance to learn about their communities, ecosystems, and planet. CBEEN’s Environmental Education Endowment Fund is a way to support environmental education in perpetuity.
The Environmental Education Fund will be held by the Columbia Valley Community Foundation. The income will be invested in creating an annual return that can always be counted on. Charitable tax receipts will be given to all donors.
As CBEEN puts it on their website “Like a tree, the best time to plant the seed for an endowment fund is 20 years ago. The second best time is now!”
