Cottonwood Creek Cleanup

We’re excited to invite you to a hands-on opportunity to make a difference in the Nelson community. We’re organizing a clean-up event Along the Cottonwood creek system and would love for you to join us!

There’s trash that has been noted in and around the creek from the Hwy 6 (Whitewater) Park and Ride.
Your enthusiasm and dedication are needed for a successful cleanup day. Not only will we be enhancing the beauty of our local creek, but we’ll also be making a positive impact on the health of the local ecosystem.
Date: August 16
Time: 12 – 2 PM
Location: Cottonwood Falls Park, 199 Carbonate Street, Nelson, BC
What to Bring:
Comfortable and weather-appropriate clothing (the area has some steep banks, so make sure you have good shoes!)
A reusable water bottle to stay hydrated
Extra cleanup supplies if you have them (gloves, buckets, trash pickers, etc.)

What We’ll Provide:
Cleanup supplies (gloves, waders, buckets, trash pickers, etc.)
Refreshments and snacks to keep your energy up
A chance to connect with fellow eco-enthusiasts
