Join us for a free, full-day environmental monitoring workshop focused on FoKLSS 2026 Harrop Wetland monitoring program. This event will provide participants with foundational skills in environmental monitoring, species identification, and data collection, while offering a clear pathway to join FoKLSS’s monitoring team for the 2026 field season.
The day will begin indoors with guided instruction at Harrop Hall, followed by a break for lunch and an afternoon field session in the Harrop Wetland where participants will practice techniques and complete their first surveys on site.
10am: Meet at the Harrop Hall (6066 McConnell Rd, Harrop, BC)
10:15-12pm: Environmental monitoring instructions and training
12-1pm Lunch (Please bring your own, but FoKLSS will have snacks and warm/cool drinks)
1pm-1:15pm Drive to Harrop Wetlands
1:15-3pm Tour the Harrop Wetland, practice and complete 1 field survey per volunteer
