We have decided to host one additional field day in Harrop!

To prepare for the 2026 season we will be getting a head start on our treatment areas. This includes laying benthic barrier, sawdust, and cardboard. Help us continue the management of Reed Canary Grass – an aggressive plant that dominates the lands surrounding the Wetlands.

Also, help yourself adjust to these shorter, darker days by spending some time outdoors! Procter baker open until 3pm for those interested

Happening this Saturday, November 22nd! We’ll be at the wetlands from 11:00 am–1:00 pm, and we’d love for you to join us.

This is a great opportunity to learn about wetland ecology, connect with neighbors, and help protect an important local habitat. No experience is needed—just a willingness to get involved and get your hands dirty!

Meeting Location:
Harrop Wetlands Informational signs (Trailhead starting just before Sunshine Bay Riding Club – 6369 Erindale Road)

Time:
11:00 AM – 1:00 PM

What to Bring:
Water, warm layers, rain gear, snacks, a shovel and half-moon edging tool if you have one

Dress in layers – the weather is looking crisp, but it can be warm while working

What we’ll Provide:

We’ll have snacks, work gloves, limited shovels, and FoKLSS stickers for everyone who joins us!
