On the chopping block:
Invasive plants like bull thistle, Canada thistle, and briar rose crowd out native species and disrupt the delicate balance of this habitat. That’s where you come in!
Come learn to ID and remove these species hands-on, and leave knowing you’ve made a real difference for the native plants and wildlife of the Harrop Wetland! Help us protect this habitats biodiversity and restore the ecological balance.

Meeting location: Harrop Wetlands trailhead – beside Sunshine Bay Riding Club off Erindale Road in Harrop.
Time: 9am-11am
What to bring: Sun protection, work gloves, pruning shears/loppers if possible, lots of water, and snacks.
Dress in layers! Come prepared for changing conditions.
Open to all community members! No experience needed—just a willingness to get involved and get your hands dirty.
