Calling all bird lovers, nature walkers, and curious minds!

Join Friends of Kootenay Lake for our Birding Info Night at the beautiful Kokanee Nature Centre.

We’ll kick off the evening with a short panel where local birders reflect their what ignited their curiosity in the birds around them. Whether you’re new to birding or have years of experience, it’s a chance to connect through shared wonder.

You’ll also get a quick intro to bird ID apps like Merlin and iNaturalist—fantastic (and free!) tools that can help turn any walk into a wildlife adventure.

Then, we’ll head out for a evening bird walk through the park to listen, observe, and see what feathered friends we can identify as the day winds down.
