Q: What is the Shoreline Stewardship Project? 

A: The Shoreline Stewardship Project is a new initiative to provide practical, accessible tools for everyone from recreational users to landowners to become Shoreline Stewards of the living system of Kootenay Lake.

Q: Who is behind the project?

A: This project was developed on behalf of the Ktuxana Nation Council and Yaqan Nukiy in collaboration with the Kootenay Lake Partnership (KLP) and FoKLSS. We are grateful to the Real Estate Foundation of BC for funding this work.

Q: Where do I get a copy of the Shoreline Stewardship Guide? 

A: We will be mailing out over 2000 guides to addresses in the RDCK with shoreline access in the next couple months. Stay tuned for your copy in the mail!

Q: Where can I attend a Shoreline Homeowner Workshop? 

A: We are hosting these workshops in five communities around the Lake this August and September. Check out the locations and dates, and be sure to register for your specific workshop here: https://linktr.ee/FriendsOfKootenayLakeSS

Q: What if I can’t make the Shoreline Homeowner Workshop in my community, or live too far away?

A: The Nelson session on Sunday, September 27 will be livestreamed and recorded!
