We are very excited to welcome Claire Pollock-Hall as our new Program Manager! Claire has been working with FOKLSS for over 6-months and is stepping into this role with a great knowledge base of the organization. Before joining our team as the Assistant Environmental Manager, she volunteered with FOKLSS for over a year. We are so excited to have someone with so much passion, energy, and experience running the organization.

Avery Deboer-Smith, our outgoing Program Manager has been running the organization for close to 3 years. Avery is leaving us to focus on her Masters in Environment and Management. She helped train Claire and has left us in her very capable hands. Avery continues to provide support to the organization during this transition. She will continue to volunteer with the organization that she put so much love in to over the years.

Thanks very much to Avery for all of her hard work and dedication to FOKLSS. We will miss your energy and enthusiasm each day and wish you all the best in your new adventures!

We would also like to welcome Camille LeBlanc, who will be stepping into the role of Assistant Environmental Manager. Camille is a recent graduate of Selkirk College’s Integrated Environmental Planning Program and has been volunteering with FOKLSS for quite a few years. Camille is passionate about ecosystem conservation with a particular interest in wetland restoration. She is excited to bring her knowledge of wetlands, native plants, and restoration to the many exciting projects FOKLSS has planned.

On her off days, you’ll see Camille hiking and camping in the backcountry with her friends, partner, and dog or in town chatting with friends over coffee and baked goods.
