Welcome to our new Program Manager

Welcome to our new Program Manager

It is our pleasure to introduce our new Program Manager Camille LeBlanc. Camille has been our tireless Environment Manager for the past 8 months. Maybe you have chatted with Camille at an outreach event, shared a boat ride looking for Osprey or picked up styrofoam at the Beach Clean-up together.

Camille has been volunteering with FOKLSS since she started her education in environmental planning at Selkirk College. Her background in social sciences combined with her passion for the outdoors created a need to pursue a career in environmental advocacy. It was her dream as a volunteer to work with FOKLSS, and she is extremely grateful to have the opportunity to continue fulfilling our mission to promote the health and stewardship of Kootenay Lake.

You can reach Camille at info@friendsofkootenaylake.ca
We would like to take this time to thank our outgoing Program Manager Claire Pollock-Hall. Claire started at FOKLSS as a volunteer, then joined our team as the Environmental Manager, where her dedication and knowledge of the organization earned her the role of Program Manager. Her passion for environmental stewardship and knowledge of wildlife conservation enriched our programming and strengthened the organization in many ways.

Claire’s positivity and ability to engage with others was instrumental in building lasting relationships between FOKLSS and other sectors in the Kootenay Lake community. Her hard work and dedication will take her far as she pursues other opportunities within the environmental non-profit world. Claire will continue to volunteer for the organization in many ways and will be a lasting presence in the water stewardship community around the lake.
