Help freshen up Kootenay Lake’s shoreline by joining us for our beach clean up on October 1st from 1:00pm-3:00pm.

The shoreline of Kootenay Lake near the Nelson Dog Walk is littered with glass which not only poses a risk for birds and other species but our furry friends that bound along the beach. Come winter this glass will be covered with snow and poses an even greater risk. Help us keep the shoreline clean and safe for everyone by joining us on October 1st to pick up scrap metal and glass in Western Bay. Bags, gloves, sanitizer, masks, buckets and disposal will be provided.

We will meet at the dog walk entrance by Prestige Resort.
