Save the date for our next Lakebed Cleanup at Lakeside Park!

This is a fun and adventurous cleanup that gives you the chance to travel along Kootenay Lake by boat and support divers as they remove trash from the lakebed!

The cleanup will take place primarily by boat, with use of docks at Lakeside, from the sailboat mooring area to the bridge.

Divers will be retrieving trash from the lakebed beneath the docks, filling mesh bags with small items, and hooking large items to be hauled up by volunteers on the docks. We will then properly dispose of and recycle the retrieved items.

FoKLSS is looking for 15 volunteers to help haul, sort and dispose of collected trash.
