Friends of Kootenay Lake Stewardship Society in collaboration with Selkirk College would like to invite you to take part in our Nest Box Building workshop which aims to encourage wildlife into our community.

Within the workshop Selkirk students will be teaching you about two bird species – the Barrow’s Golden Eye and the Tree-Swallow. Following the presentations, a demonstration will be given on how to construct nest boxes for both of these species.

You will then be able to take either a Barrows Golden Eye or Tree-Swallow nest box home to construct!

Workshops are available on either:

Monday October 15, 1.45-3.15pm

Thursday October 18, 8.45-10.15am

Cost: $20 per person, please bring cash upon arrival.

The cost of this workshop is to cover the purchasing of nest box materials.
