Join us on Friday September 17 for a cleanup of the shoreline near the Chahko Mika mall and Lakeside Park from 1:00-3:00 p.m.

Beach cleanups are a great way to connect with awesome people in the community while contributing to a healthier Kootenay Lake.

Garbage from the mall parking lot builds up along the shoreline, easily making its way into Kootenay Lake. Let’s work together to remove what garbage is there, and build awareness around litter reduction.

Buckets, gloves, sieves, shovels, rakes, masks and sanitizer will be provided.

Group sizes will be kept to under 10 persons.

We will meet at the gazebo beside the rail cart tracks and Duck Bay on the Save on Foods side of Lakeside Park (just as you enter the walking path into Lakeside Park from the mall parking lot).
