Together with the Nelson Interfaith Climate Action Collaborative, the EcoSociety is bringing you an Earth Day parade; the opportunity for us to get together as a community and celebrate living green.
On Sunday April 22, we are inviting the whole community to participate in a parade down Baker Street and finishing with music, food and more at Hall Street Plaza.
Want to join in the parade? Everyone is welcome! Bring your electric vehicle, bike, feet or any other self-propelled transportation and make a banner! Let the community see why you care or what you do to live green.
Music: The Hilties!!!
We are thrilled to announce that we will be blessed with The Hilties playing live at Hall Street Plaza. So come and join us for some reggae music in the sunshine (we are also thrilled to announce that we’ve arranged the sun to come out).
Got some bottles lying around, waiting to take to recycling? Well save them up and bring them down because we will be collecting them at Hall Street Plaza and all proceeds will go towards the EcoSociety.
2:30 PM: Meet at the Railway Visitors Center and get ready for the parade
3:00 PM: Parade down Baker Street begins!
3:45 PM-5: 30 PM: Music from The Hilties, arts and crafts, prizes, bottle fundraiser and more!
